Carlos Tevez is back in the news this week after handing in his transfer request to Manchester City. The Argentine forward seems to be unhappy with life in Manchester and wants out immediately. Rumors have even surfaced that he may quit football all together if things don’t improve or change. Any team in the world could use a player like Tevez, I hope he ends up somewhere that he can shine because football needs a player like him.
The boys over at Craven Cottage have changed their shirt sponsor from Nike to Kappa, and came out with a new kit for this coming season. They also dropped last season’s shirt sponsor and have and picked up FxPro. Plain, and simple but I like it.
Former Chelsea boss Avram Grant has been officially announced as the manager of West Ham United. It is a much tougher task than the one he held in London but he is an experienced coach who will be up for the challenge. He is already saying that he will do everything he can to keep Matthew Upson on the books with the Hammers.
Really loving the colors in the new away kit, as well as the pin stripes. This is probably one of the Gunners best looking kits in the past few seasons, in my opinion anyway.
Looks like Everton have gone pink for their away kit next season. I know pink is the hot color being used on a lot of boots these days, but I’m not so sure about these uniforms…
According to the BBC this morning, Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is on the verge of leaving the club he signed a 5 year deal with back in 2009. Liverpool is going to be giving him a multi-million pound package in order to get him to step away. With Benitez out, who get’s the Liverpool job? Where does Rafa end up? And is this the summer that Gerrard finally tests his skills elsewhere?
According to soccernet.com, Manchester city have launched a £20 million bid to bring the midfielder over from Aston Villa. Milner recently claimed PFA Young Player Of The Year award after starring in his central midfielder role under current boss Martin O’Neill. This would be a massive signing for City to bolster, their already strong, squad.
